Fogna, summer 2009

published a collection of photos of us "fogna people" of a beautiful past summer, hoping that the next is better!

If you

arrive at the pier "la rotonda" and walking for 300 meters on the left, in the bottom of the cliff, you're on the spot "il molo" in the city center. Here 10 years ago, I discovered surfing, I saw in water two local historians like Simone and Pupo, and every time I come home, I hope there are waves to make a great session.
I love so much this spot because it always gives me good emotions, the ground is sandy and never disappoints me!

temperatures are

quickly changed, now it's cold, cold winds from the North feels the morning and evening, the colors are those of the winter but I still want to think of blue skies and sun that warms our bodies....only one weeks ago I made this pola with manipulation in an afternoon of sunshine and blue, welcome visual art!

when I

open my eyes clearly see the color of life, clearly I see the sky in high shine and a multitude of life around me, walking..... I feel my feet disappear into the sand, the beach opens up before me, I see the waves, the sea .....

sunset, full of colours

A building that is an identity card. Full of distinguishing features, harmonious elements that exhilarate and enrapture ans speak of an easy architecture in wich everything makes sense and then wrong-foots us everywhere we look.
Spaces that match, combine, form a sequence, each providing acces to another, and light and colour in a perfect chromatic-material union, with skylights everywhere, and mirros that dilate perceived space and make things brighter

soft tones

there is nobody on the beach, finally after many months I feel it mine! recognizes his natural essence, the smell of the sea and the waves, I look around and observe what man has left in his summer passage, many, many things but my eyes and my camera only see the sunset which is always amazing!

I like it because september is a month where the weather changing quickly, changing from sun, rain, clouds, you can breathe the air of the summer but you can feel that autumn comes, a few people on the beach, and is an ideal time for taking photos and surfing!

Blogoversary

always nice

in these last days of hellish heat of August, I spend the last hours of the day on the beach, a swim in the sea, a pizza with the sunset behind it and the feeling of being a little more fresh.
is always nice finish a day's work with the little light in the evening and the color of the sea ice!

You turn off the sun burns!

in recent days has been very warm, an unbearable heat, the earth, nature and natural forces are changing and what we do? run behind all that is technological, production must not stop, everything and always in a short time. Perhaps one day come back from where we came.... from earth, the fields of wheat, and we will see the rain in summer and the sun that heats but does not burn you!

We met some years ago, it was love at first sight, accompanied me along a mysterious and difficult walk, you have seen me cry and laugh at every birthday, you have seen me sad and happy for the victories and loss that I had done every day . You have filled me gifts that are now part of my treasure. I always feel you close to me, even though sometimes I thought of losing you..... lived every day as the last and every night before sleeping, I thank you for having done share all of this. the boundary of loneliness.

walking, walking, light is still so far away, the shoulders are tired from the weight of life, the past is like a rock that marks the border of a life lived without living.
The last night, the stars of a silent summer illuminate the path ahead. I have everything but I have nothing, just a music that runs in my mind while traveling on the trail again, the last sunsets, the few joys that I have shared with who truly loved. The Life!

design anatomy

the endless summer

yesterday afternoon after a long time I did surf with my friends in "our home spot", the waves were perfect, we all have fun, after the rain the sun came out unexpectedly, I had some photos to my friends and to remember the arrival of my " new "Polaroid 1000!

this composition is only a test. my adored sx 70 model 2 camera no longer works well! she is a Lady of 39 years old, and the colors are not more natural than that I see, even without dark ND filter, and it is not easy to find a technician to solve the problem, maybe there is the end of his story ... I am very sad.

my colors, my life

After several days of rain is good to review the sun and the colors are strong and bright. The light helps to see the details of nature that has long remained hidden from the rain and fog.
Is like a rebirth, the victory of the sky and the sea! This image helps us to understand all this!

lines, tones, shapes, light

the good ideas if are not realized they are nothing, you must have the courage and strength to try to make real what we think in our minds and maybe the fear of missing it block us. it's nice finally see in front of our eyes what we had in mind for so long time!

the week end there was the sun so I had my first day to the sea, after the cold winter is magic and beautiful to be lying under the sun, a book to read, walk on the sand and think that days like this there will be many !

early morning in the city

I like walking in the city very early in the morning, when there's almost anybody around, I feel like a owner of the city a bit and I have the opportunity to discover things which during the day would not. I like this picture in perspective, the human presence almost imperceptible, the photo was developed by a negative to positive with x process, makes that a particular color!

cabins to the sea

last weekend I was able to have much time to take pictures to the sea, in the countryside and in the city, the weather was sunny and pleasant for walking, we were able to relax and enjoy the nature that surrounds us and that gives me the hope to live with harmony in every day

geometric energy

I like the geometry of the shapes, I love to see 2 colors united and strong but still minimal as the object. the color in this photo looks like a watercolor, I watch the sky and I think to the sky, I watch the white and I think to infinity world.
It's an act of faith:if nature is good, then a design that represents it will be too.Concrete, iron and plastic are exorcised. In the hope of finding new stylistic features, a vegetal approach is being adpted in much architecture and design..

urban regeneration "ex gasometer"

Urban regeneration once occupied by the structures of the old gasometer which since 1870 provided the gas to the city ', a multistorey car park exchanger.

The new roof and square 'on the sides shaded by perforated sheet metal roofs and' paved with traditional outdoor materials such as sandstone to "opus incertum". This space could occasionally host markets, shows, events, etc.. Given the chance 'to isolate the areas for parking.
I think this is a good re-intervention in the city center.

I like very much the black and white photos, especially those made by other people, I have never been satisfied by my black and white photos. Since I have a holga I did some photos in b/w and today I public some of them.

combination of elements, light, shadows, backlighting,

the castle was half-empty and a gale-force wind had blown away the haze. the light was truly extraordinary, one of thos rare days that remember me with amazement because "the mountains were so clear u could almost reach out and touch them".
the wind had swept the motionless places clean in an almost descriptive, traditionslly literary way, reinstating the plasticy of castle and lengthening the old street perspectives. a sort of cleansing, atmospheric facelift had taken place, allowing the light to cast strong, clear shadows on bricks.
i was able to see, as i had never before, a whole swate of castle stripped of its daily movement, parked cars, the grinding noise of traffic and machinery. i saw architecture in its pristine state, cleansed by light in a spectacular surprising and monumental way.
this combination of elements, light, shadows, backlighting, enables u to notice and then "read "changes in space, to archive a better understanding of what is really there, and what is being made visible in its totality, even thougth u can't actually see it.

Last weekend I discovered a recovered place in the port of Ancona; arrived at the gate I discovered a veritable paradise to my eyes, a new building of modern architecture to two meters from the sea, thousands of palm trees, lavender and rosemary trees that adorn the entire area around pedestrian boulevards, a large car park, the sea on one side with the marina and its boats. A nice place to spend a quiet day at sea!

monte conero

Mount Conero is a very beautiful place, a park, where nature is beautiful, where the mountain meets the sea. Here you can find different spots to surf, the best are the ship and the rock. I am surfing a few times in this spot where the water is transparent and the atmosphere and waves are unique, it is not my home spot but I know that many surfers out there, maybe one day I will decide ...

step by step

I do not know what is happening in this world, I see things different from past years, people have changed his habits, men have changed in general, the respect of the next is always less, but not everything changes for the better. Today the life step by step fly away so fast, man is attacked by material things in every moment and useless and no longer has the sense of small things of every day.

strange things

when you walk by the sea in winter you can find there more strange things on the beach, always the camera is with me and if the conditions are well shooting photos. In summer, however the beach is a clean living room, so the objects can be confused with the many people who are there and I still waiting to arrive the autumn to review the beach full of gifts of the waves...

memories

life and the memories always bring me back to my adolescence, this is the way where I spent many happy days with my friends, I feel yet our voices, is as always, the stones of the past that tell the storys, the red bricks of the church illuminated by the sunset, the flowers of my neighbor there are yet but now she is only older, ......close my eyes and wake up so many memories, I walking back quietly from where I came

the pursuit of photo

I like the research and experimentation, I like photographing elements of architecture, especially modern and contemporary. Like natural elements too but if I find the best possible light and I have in my hands a camera I do a magic double click!

life in technicolor

I can certainly say that my life is not that bad, I had a wonderful childhood with my family, I love the work I do, I feel free in everything and every choice I make is always free. Then, one year I have the photo that stimulates me and that makes me see things that would not otherwise, in colors!

I like.....

I like to do these things:

- Down the Filbert Steps and see the bay of San Francisco
- Go with friends to an evening Gaslamp Quarter in San Diego
- Walk in Venice of winter fog by night
- Go with the longskate on the promenade beach in Santa Monica
- Walking and taking pictures on a Sunday afternoon in Downtown Los Angeles
- Visit in a spring day the historic center of Florence
- Relax and read a book in Levis Plaza in San Francisco
- Surfing in Jeffrey's Bay in South Africa

flowers into the wild

Walk where the road does not know the road, walk where the only noise is the wind, watch the horizon of gentle hills where the cypress trees mark the distant hand of man. Feel inside the emotions and share them with your soul in silence. Wild grasses, flowers and long known that color the edges of the countryside. What's beautiful to be alone and away from everything! this is the wilderness that I want!

danger area

beyond the refinery there is my home surf spot, one of the most dangerous to health, but we surfers love so much this spot because it is the nearest one, the waves break from the north-east or south and is therefore our playground.

horizon

the horizon is the limit of our lives, the line of thought, the line of sights, of what you can touch and what you can love. The horizon is the limit of all things human that those we thought would hold.
I love what I do not know!

Under the pines

San Marcello is a small town at the top of the hill, away from the sea 18 miles, often at night we go and do a walk in the streets of the center and especially in the summer I will stop under the shade and admire the landscape: infinity hills, castles, fields and the sea ....

a human between the earth and the sky

a cold day on the beach, -3 C, the sea with the sound of waves, the sky is a so beautiful color, the wind caresses my face, the music of nature is a sublime concert! I m alone but I m inside the nature; thanks to life for everything I have!

abandoned factory part 2

when I come back in the "my" factory I try not thinking and not see the life that has consumed inside, sometimes I hear the voices, are the ghosts? or items that I would still feel that they live in this factory? I also found a diary of a person but I have not taken, I left it in the drawer of a table, perhaps one day his master returns

I found in a small country, Ostra, an old factory where inside there is much material to photograph. Each object has a story and I think people who have used the tools, have suffered and rejoiced, every thing tells us all the time spent. I love this place and I believe that Polaroid camera with film expired and the Pinhole are the best cameras to do this! I hope you like it!

lunch time to the Passetto

a winter morning, lunch time , the sky is gray and purple, walking to the Passetto, the "beach" of Ancona city, at the end of a long tree-lined avenue we arrive at a balcony with beautiful sea view and descending over 300 steps to get there in a beach of white stones. A charming place to 5 minutes walk from the city center!

what is left of last summer

I do not like looking back, better I try not to look back but look ahead, for me the past is pain and joy at the same time, and at the end brings me to be sad. night test

often in the night I walk on the beach and so last night I tested my new Image Polaroid camera, to my surprise came out some beautiful photos, I public here in a particularly the beautiful historic building called the "Rotonda" which stretches into the sea with a pier. Now this building is used as a cultural "box" inside organize concerts, art exhibitions, cultural meetings and book presentations. before the storm

I like the seasons in half, when the sky became dark after days of torrid heat and the Marche Region where I live this always happens at the end of the summer. 89 days after

I made these pictures 89 days ago when the sun was still warm and caressed the body, red colored the sky and the sea became like a crystal , then purple and violet, the days of sun now are over, surf and relaxed in pleasant readings on the beach are a memory, but will return again!

lately I drive between the beautiful tuscany and umbria and in the autumn landscapes are beautiful, amazing colors and a few weeks ago I stopped near Arezzo to take this wonderful sunset that painted the red sky, the infinite and penetrating into the eyes, has accompanied me up at home!

the way of sunflowers

This summer the hills of Marche were covered by the colors of yellow sunflowers, walking or driving accompanied in up and down of the hills along with the hot wind of summer! That magic flower!!!

walking in the weekend along the eastern sea makes me realize that summer is over! just get on the Adriatic sea from a north east puts end to the beach season, the umbrellas are closed, and few people walk on the beach!

Andrea has been my teacher of interior's design and he is a special person for me! much time from our last encounter is passed and for case we have met and speeches with facility about our life!
life is so complicating. it really is. we can't escape the ups and downs. all we can do is approach them one at a time with patience, stay positive and hopeful, and never be afraid to ask for help.
